Photographing The Landscape

You should use a telephoto or normal lense when wanting to capture a landscape photo not a wide-angle lense. When you use a wide-angle lense your creating an inclusion photo. Most all of the elements you see will be included in your photo. The compostion is more complex and you need lines to lead your eyes to the highlights you want the viewer to see. When you use a telephoto lense your creating an exclusion photo. You choose the element that you want the viewer to see. Telephoto lenses keep it simple.

Overlapping

Overlapping

I picked this picture for overlapping because
all of the bottles over lap eachother. I think that
the colors in this picture look really cool. I took
this picture in the dark and let the flash create whole picture.
I also think that the shadows are really cool too.

Breaking the Rules

Breaking the Rules

I took a picture of the garage window and
it got the inside of the garage, some of me and the
camera, and the refelction of the surroundings behind me.

Arrangement

Arrangement

I arranged the candles so that the shortest
one was the farthest forward and the tallest
was the farthest back. I really like the
arrangement of the candles in this picture.

Interesting Aesthetic

Interesting Aesthetic

This a great veiw of the tree. I layed the camera
against the side of the tree and shot up.
It turned out amazing! The colors even turned out great!

Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition

I placed the candle holders very close together
to create a great juxtaposition picture. The color of the
candle holders give the picture a great pop.

Focal Point

Focal Point

The focal point of the picture is to nose of the
kitten. This is a perfect picture for this casue
everything is so close together yet the nose is right in the center!

Axial Symmetry

Axial Symmetry

A basketball hoop is a great represation of axial
symmetry. The oragne rim gives the picture just the
right amount of color to make the rim a focal point.

Radial Symmetry

Radial Symmetry

This picture is a great picture of radial symmetry.
You can see the spikes on both sides on the tire and
the colors of the frame make a cool picture.
I think the peg adds a little extra too.

Triangulation

Triangulation

The angle of the photo makes it show a triangle just
perfectly. Setting it up with the shortest candle in the
front and the tallest candle in the back makes it great. Again the
colors of the candle holders make the picture really pop.

Back, Mid & Foreground

Back, Mid & Foreground

This picture is a great  picture of back, mid and
foreground because the flowered blanket is the foreground,
the bear is the mid ground and the wall is the background.
I took a picture of the teddy bear cause I had got it for
Valentines day from my boyfriend and it means alot to me.

The Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds

I choose this picture for rule of thirds because it had
the three differnt depths in the picture. The candle
holders worked very well coming in the set of three too.
The colors add a very nice pop to the picture.

Filling the Frame

 Filling the Frame

I got as close to the bird as I could to fill the frame.
The colors looked really good with all the natural
colors in the dark. The bird filled the frame very well.

3 not so good

I believe this photo was taken though a window which makes
for a very bad photograph if the flash is on. This picture
has a very glare and very horrilbe lighting. I believe there
is also not a true focal point.

This photo is not good at all. I believe the way the
people are set up is so wrong cause you have a
different view of some people which does not work in
this picture. The setting is also not good with the window right
behind them cause you get a really bad glare though the window.
I believe this photo is not so hot. There is no lighting to
this photo what so ever. Nothing is truly in focus and
the colors and not so good with everything she is wearing.
Nothing is this photo truly catches my eye.

3 good

I love this photo. She is not posing for it and it is kinda totally
unexpected. I believe unexpected photos make the best photos.
It also has very good lighting,  her chin is well lite but at the same
time she has a very nice shadow over her eyes. I also love the very
vivid color in the photo. Again like the flower, she is very in focus
while the stuff around her is blurred.
This photo has a very nice focal point to it that makes you
want to follow it and see more. It seems like lighting is not
quite right but it makes the picture seem a little more mysterious.
I think the little bit of sunlight that comes though makes this a very well set photo.
I love this photo. It is very simple with more flowers in the
background that you cant quite tell as it gets father away.
I love how the one flower is very in focus and the others
have more of a blurred look to them. Its a very elegant photo.

KWL

Photography is a great way to keep memories and see how things change over time. I know that you need the right lightings and shadows to create a good photo. Early in the morning or late in the evening are good time to take photos and get good lighting. There are all different type of cameras like nikon, canon, and kodak. You can have all types of colors and edit your photos. You want to make sure your background will not get washed out with the light. You don't wasn't to make pictures look to set up, you want a more natural look.

I would like to know how to set up pictures of people without making it look like they are posed for you. I would also like to know how to set up good lighting inside with a a whole studio. I would also like to know all the settings on my camera what they are good for. I would also like to know how to take pictures at a sporting event without all the blur effect.
